The skin is the largest organ in the body and readily absorbs what we put on it.
As transdermal patches are used to administer medicine directly into the bloodstream,
it stands to reason that whatever you rub into your skin will also make its way into your system.
Following is a list of ingredients of greatest concern to consumers.
Enfants Paradis does not use any of these ingredients.
Used to prevent the growth of microbes, these are known to disrupts hormone function,
increasing the risk of breast cancer and reproductive toxicity.
Petrochemicals include ingredients such as paraffin, mineral oil, petroleum, petrolatum, vaseline.
Used to soften the skin, petrochemicals coat the skin clogging the pores, slowing down
skin function and cell development, resulting in premature ageing, acne, and causing dryness.
Used to help prevent bacteria from growing, formalderhydes can be absorbed through the skin
and have been linked to allergic skin reactions and cancer.
Sodium Laureate Sulphate
Used as a detergent in nearly 90 percent of all commercial shampoos, including many
“natural” lines sold at health food stores, it is not now thought to cause cancer,
as was once believed, but it can be irritating to the skin.
Used to hold fragrances and colour, phthalates are thought to disrupt hormonal systems
causing breast cancer as well as infertility in males.
